Song of springtime

May 24, 2017

Early morning with the fog lifting, the birds singing their warning or mating songs (or both), the river steaming and churning, the spider’s web dripping, the hills slick with dew, my breathe heaving, my feet pushing, and not a car in ear shot.

Music isn’t necessary during springtime running sessions since the world seems to be playing it’s own tune. And it’s an anthem.
