Morning Drawback

There is one serious flaw to running before the sun comes up…lack of light means I miss out on the colour and decay of autumn here.

Reds like pomegranate bruises, yellows and bright greens so electric they seem alive, and oranges bursting with inner flame adorn the trees and fall and crumple and fade.

But running with a headlamp in star-dotted darkness leaves nothing but greyscale for the eyes.
