Trail running is a blast. But where I live, I very rarely have an opportunity to get to the trails to explore. The good news is that the roads around home are quite hilly and are super potholed and choppy along the edges making it feel like I am running off-road or on corrugated cardboard.
I’m too tired. I have a headache. I ate too much for dinner. I had a beer. (Ok, three.) My gear is in the laundry. My phone isn’t charged. My headlamp needs batteries. I have too much work to do. I had a long day. It’s rainy. It’s late and dark and windy and I […]
I worked for months early in 2016 to prep my body and mind for a marathon. I built capacity for the running, for the challenge. Then it fell apart. You know that look your non-runner friends give you when you tell them you’ve been up since 4:45 am for your run and you’re upset that you only had time to fit in 12k? It’s not the same look of glazed over fogginess paired with mouth breathing and mindless nodding they give you when they […]
I have no problem admitting that I am a run nerd. I like running, talking about running, reading about running, and following rad runner dudes and dudettes on social media.
