These are some hot and super muggy days we’re having lately. They’re tough days to go for a run.
It’s days like this, when it’s 32 degrees C but feels like 40 and there’s not a breath of movement in the air that I miss the ocean and the cottage lake.
Air conditioning is great and all, but a splashy dive into a pristine Ontario freshwater lake from a dock stocked with Muskoka chairs and beer is heavenly. And an icy dip into the Atlantic ocean off Nova Scotia’s shores with blue as far as the eye can travel cools not only the skin, but soothes the soul.
Yeah, a mid-summer cool down is just what I could go for.
