High Five Low Five

The longest run I have had since my 29k ankle busting outing two Sundays ago was the 5.5 kilometres I plodded through today.

High five to me for surviving the run, but the low side of it all continues to be pain in my ankle any time I pass the 4k mark.

I had a decent pace going this afternoon in full sun after a prolonged morning of fog and drizzle, and I felt good until that fourth kilometre.

My 22 minute outing was mostly good. I’ll take mostly good over entirely bad. But 5k?! I don’t think I’ll be racing anything at all this coming weekend.

No marathon, no ten, not even a five.
