How to not get sick of running part 4

Stand tall.

Resilience is something we try to encourage in our children. Get back on the bike after you fall off, persevere when you think you’re at your limit, get up stand up, that sort of thing.

Well the same is true in my running world. I often need to get up and just run after a slower than usual performance or a missed run day. I need to stand up and get off the couch. Be tall and confident and just get out there to run.

If the wind knocks me back, stand firm and run into ‘er. If fatigue or rain or the common cold and flu threaten my resolve, get up and go regardless.

Sometimes, not getting sick of running simply means getting out there and running. Stand up for your run!
