Running is a pursuit that forces one to focus on the road ahead.
Looking back, after all, is of no use to the runner. Even a quick over-the-shoulder backward glance can spell disaster in the form of a stumble or rolled ankle and leave the runner sidelined and idle.
Reflecting on the run, however, is wise and helps to create an understanding of how to once again proceed forward and progress.
That is exactly why I run. And it is exactly how I try to approach every day life. Look up, stay focused on what lies ahead not what was behind, and reflect afterward in order to learn and better myself tomorrow.
When running is metaphor for living you’ve hit #runhappiness.
