Music refresh

September 24, 2015

Every once in a while I like to refresh my music selection on my run playlist. Now, when I say “playlist”, I just mean my entire catalog of songs. I just hit shuffle and away I go without too much care about the tempo of any particular song. If I like it, I’ll run to it.

But even with several hundred songs on my device, after 15 hours of running each month I get tired of them and need to add a few new titles to liven up the mix.

A few of my latest musical refreshments:

Leather Jacket by The Arkells (Which has the lyric “You call me up from a payphone”, hence the photo on this blog post. I was blown away this week when I actually saw a real life payphone in working condition and I saw someone actually use it!)

First by Cold War Kids

Youth by Daughter (Not a real upbeat run tune, but like the rawness of it. And if it comes on while I run? I just keep running.)

Cause = Time by Broken Social Scene

Enya by Age of Electric (Which is such a throwback ear worm tune from my high school days.)

Push Pull by Purity Ring

Come On Let’s Go by Ritchie Valens (A little rock n’ roll never hurt anyone.)

What are you listening to these days?
