A divine little break

I wrote the other day that I felt like I needed to slow it down a tad and inject some rest into my run routine.

Well, I took two days off from all exercise and came back with a divine run this morning before first light and a super light half hour on the track this afternoon where the light and life returned to my legs.

At first I felt sinful and guilty for not running. Now, I’m glad I did. I guess I had been denying my body the time it needed to recover.

I won’t make that mistake again.
