A few days ago my morning run looked like this:
Foggy, dark, clouded, grey, foreboding, still.
It’s exactly how I was feeling.
I was tired and not totally with it. Foggy.
I was stressed by upcoming changes in our family’s routine. Dark.
I was chewing on numbers over and over about the cars we were looking at buying or leasing. Clouded.
I was a bit groggy and not feeling 100%. Grey.
I was feeling on the verge of injury as a tight quad was nagging the entire run. Foreboding.
And yet, I had moments of content, seconds where there was nothing in my head. Still.
I felt in tune with my surroundings.
And my day, my spirit, my emotions, cleared.
