Sometimes the best runs are those that leave no trace.
On an eerily silent save for the wind evening after a day of light rain, I ran 6k-ish with some hills for good measure.
Only, I forgot my watch. I also forgot to hit start on the Addidas MiCoach app on my smartphone. So I had no time, no pace tracking, no little green to red line to follow on my computer screen afterward to map the run and all its stats. It’s as if the run never happened. And it was a great run.
The streets were empty, I never looked at my wrist, I didn’t have the kilometre by kilometre voice update in my ear buds. All I had was Radiohead’s From the Basement and my thoughts.
