It took a lot of internal convincing to get out in the rain and run today.
There were a few rewards to be gained from this soggy run:
For one, the roads were completely devoid of vehicles. Empty shiny pavement.
Also, the feel of the puddle splashing on ankles.
And then there were the sounds. Not only the sound of the rain on roofs or in the harbour, but also the sound of frogs. Their song is both haunting and a harbinger for healthy systems and the coming summer.
I paused my run for a brief moment to soak in the sounds and raindrops at the same time.
It was #runhappiness.
